The Tripod wood burning fire pit is suspended by three log chains hanging from a metal tripod. Also included in the Tripod firepit series is a snuffer lid and additional chain with hook for cooking with cast iron pots. The bowl, chain and legs of the tripod can be removed making it easy to transport the fire pit from the backyard to the driveway or take it with you while camping in the great outdoors. Corten steel originally developed for bridge building and skyscraper construction due to its incredible strength. On exposure to the elements, a protective, rust seal is formed as the steel begins the weathering process.
